If you use a globally recognized avatar service, a hashed version of your email may be checked by that service to display an avatar.

Who can see your information
Within our team, only the people who need access to run the site can view operational data, comments awaiting moderation, or correspondence. Technical service providers involved in delivering the site (such as hosting and CDN layers) necessarily process network data to serve pages and prevent abuse. When you email us, your message is processed by our email provider(s). We do not sell visitor or commenter information and we do not share it with advertisers.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm whether we hold personal data about you, to receive a copy, and to correct inaccuracies. You can ask us to delete information we hold about you, object to certain uses, or request that we limit processing where applicable. If our use of information relies on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
